NEW ALBUM 'Secretly'

IN NOVEMBER 2010 the NEW ALBUM by KRYSTYNA Stanko 'Secretly' was released, WHICH IS A PERSONAL tribute to the great PETER GABRIEL. THE ALBUM CONTAINS 8 of his compositions in jazz arrangements, played by great instrumentalists from the top league of the POLISH jazz scene.

BEAUTIFUL, DARK, ACOUSTIC SOUND LINKS softly with a palette of jazz improvisation, the musicians approached the melodic lines with great esteem , took care of interesting forms and textures. On the album you will find BOTH, the FAMOUS 'MERCY STREET' and 'RED RAIN' OR the VERY MOVING 'I Grieve' among OTHERS. You will also find 'THE BOOK OF LOVE', which comes from the repertoire of PETER GABRIEL, but is Composed by Stephin Merritt.
The Work on the album was short, but intense, Dominik Bukowski became the musical director, he invited by Krystyna Stanko TO THIS PROJECT AS the FIRST PERSON. Dominik Cooperates with Piotr since several years in his Piotr Lemanczyk TRIO.
Each musician has put much love, enormous talent and creative inventiveness into this album. Thanks to the patronage of the ENERGA COMPANY AND THE CITY OF GDANSK, Krystyna Stanko once again achieved her MUSICAL DREAM in this unusual project in a TEAM with wonderful friends.

'Secretly' was recorded in the studio of Radio GDANSK, SHAFFA STUDIO, produced by Paul RUTSCHKA at The P&E STUDIOS in Amsterdam AFFIRMING a INTIMATE, WARM and jazzy sound.
